Untitled

Scorching red, yellow and orange flames glow like fireworks in the smokey sky.

It flickers from house to house eating anything in its way.

Houses light up the sky with blazing flames.

Cobble stones glaze like hot ovens.

Timbers snap as the fire swallows the houses.

London bridge catches on fire and falls in the river.

Barns and churches sparkle with massive flames.

The Crumbling Castle

It stood silently in the cold wind by the waving trees.

I crept over the wobbly bridge and found my self under the huge crumbling archway.

The silver moonlight shines brightly under moldy doors.

As I stand here I feel scared and sad.

Termites eat slowly through rotting wood.

Owls hoot all through the night.

Ugly rats run in and out of holes.

Guess The Creature

Climbing up trees to catch its prey.

Attacking any bird or mice.

Trying not to be seen or heard crawling across the lawn.

Swimming on the sea bottom.

Hearing and smelling anything for miles.

Attacking its prey day by day.

Racing after fish and humans.

Killing anything to eat.

Our Friend

When the sea is calm its waves are gentle and soft.

Gulls fly through the cool air.

The clouds are creamy and white.

Foe!

The waves turn dark blue.

The waves crash against sharp rocks and ships.

Sea gulls get blown into sails.

The clouds turn grey.

The wind carries boats further out to sea.

King Of The Trees

I’m the king of the trees.

I’m sturdy and strong.

Other trees look up at me.

My leaves shine like green emeralds.

Every morning I wake up and hear the sweet song of the sparrows nesting upon my stiff branches.

I can hear eggs hatch way up on the top of my arms.

I have a shiny green cloak spread over me.

My roots spread as far as my branches.

My roots are like my feet keeping me balanced.

My cloak falls off and turns into a soft floor.

My acorns fall to the ground like bombers dropping bombs.

Snow falls from the sky like parachutists jumping from an airplane.

The Ox Hide Bag

The sailors were curious and opened the ox hide bag and…

Raging winds gushed out of the bag.

The wind howls madly at the ship.

It throws barrels of beer around the ship.

Huge armies of horses charged at the boat.

It sounds like a volcano erupting.

Gulls get blown into the mast.

Doors get blown off the cabins.

Spears and oars go flying and knock sailors into the roaring sea.

Huge waves crash against the ship.

Like a whales mouth biting into a shark or a human biting into a crisp.

The Recipe

You get a baked potato

Whisk it all around

You wait till it’s soft and sound

And take it round the town

Add a pinch of salt

And get a cup of malt

Put it in the blender

And wait till it’s tender.

The Moon

The moon looks like a pale white marble with black behind it.

It casts down its gleam of light.

It slowly dances through the dark night.

It looks like a silver coin spinning through the dark night.

It is like a sad ball floating through space with nobody to talk to or play with.

It rolls out a silver carpet in to the sky and the stars look like they’re walking on it.

The moon stares down on all the houses.

I wonder what the moon is made of.

Monty The Mole

Monty the mole scurried happily off to the woods for a days exploration.

He ran quickly towards a rusty gate.

He wriggled cautiously under a rusty gate.

He squeezed between two tin cans.

He skidded bravely in front of a sleeping dog.

He hopped happily over a short log.

He jumped silently over a little stream.

He crawled merrily through a hollow log.

He trotted nimbly down a steep hill.

He frisked wearily beside a brown pile of leaves.

He dozed thankfully in a cozy nest.

September

Dark green ivy hanging lazily on the wall.

A yellow leaf is flowing swiftly through the river.

Green apples hanging happily in the tree.

Brown squirrels climbing quickly through the trees.

Black and yellow wasps buzzing freely through the air.

Green hedgerows sparkling in the morning.

Brown acorns hang from the acorn tree.
